A clue in f44r ?

There are several small irregularities in the text that ought to be looked at carefully.

Here’s one such irregularity, it appears in f44r :

 

 

On the second line there appears to be the letter ‘p’, which, if I’m not mistaken, doesn’t appear elsewhere in the manuscript at all.

Could it be that the writer went too fast and actually meant the symbol (i.e. made the loop right instead of left),  implying that this is symbol is meant to conceal the letter ‘p’ accross the whole document ?
